WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HYPNOTHERAPY
You will first start with a phone call, where I will ask you a few details and explain a little about what I can do, and clear up any misconceptions caused by television. If you agree that you want to try hypnotherapy, then you will come along to the first session, which will start with a half hour chat (consultation) and then 50 minutes hypnotherapy. After the hypnotherapy there will be 10 minutes to discuss how you felt and if you would like another session.
Now what happens during Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is divided into three main parts:
You will sit or lie back in a comfortable chair, close your eyes if you wish and then I will talk you through relaxing each part of your body, sequencing your breathing with releasing any tension and helping you to feel completely relaxed. Relaxing both your mind and your body. You will always be aware of what you are doing and in complete control.
Once you are relaxed, I will relax you deeper by giving you a visualization, maybe you will imagine yourself on a beautiful beach, or sitting in a field full of flowers, or I could take you back to a favourite place like a holiday or even your own garden.
Once you are completely relaxed and calm, both in body and mind, I will then begin to add in the positive changes you want to make in your life. Once again you will always be aware and in control, but you will be in a daydreaming state. Once suggestions are in place, I will then wake you up gently by counting you back to full consciousness.
